CONGRESS OF ALL PROGRESSIVE FORCES

The All Progressives Congress is a political party in the Republic of Nigeria, since 2015 - the ruling one. The party was formed in 2013 by the merger of three of Nigeria's largest opposition parties: the Nigeria Action Congress, the Progressive Change Congress and the People's Party of Nigeria. Over the entire period of its existence, the party twice took part in the elections of deputies to the House of Representatives. In 2015, the Congress of All Progressive Forces won a majority in the lower house of parliament, receiving 212 mandates out of 360 possible. In 2019, the party repeated its success and won 217 seats in the House of Representatives. In the 2015 presidential elections in Nigeria, the party nominated Muhammad Bukhari, who won with 53.96% of the vote. Four years later, Bukhari won again with 55.6% of the vote. The interim chairman of the party is the Governor of Yobe-Mai Mala Buni. Official site of the party: apc.com.ng
