SERBIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY
SERBIAN PEOPLE'S PARTY, SNP (Serbian People's Party, SNP) is a young political party in the Republic of Serbia.
The party was formed on September 21, 2014. Its founder and first president is Nenad Popovic, former vice president of the Democratic Party of Serbia.
The Serbian People's Party has twice participated in the elections to the national parliament. In 2014, the party received three parliamentary seats and entered the government coalition "Serbia Will Win", led by the Progressive Party of Serbia. In the next convocation, the party also received three mandates in the government coalition For Our Children.
In the 2017 presidential elections in Serbia, the party supported the nomination of Aleksandar Vucic as a candidate for state office. Vucic won the first round with 55.06% of the vote.
The post of the President of the party is held by the Minister of Innovation and Technological Development, Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Serbian government - Nenad Popovic. Secretary General - Member of the Assembly Jovan Palalik.
Since 2016, the Serbian People's Party has an agreement on interaction and cooperation with the All-Russian political party "United Russia".
