COMMUNIST PARTY OF VIETNAM
COMMUNIST PARTY OF VIETNAM, CPV (Communist Party of Vietnam, CPV) - the largest political party in the Republic of Vietnam, has ruled for over 70 years.
The party was formed in 1930.The founder and ideologist of the party is Ho Chi Minh - Prime Minister of Vietnam from 1945 to 1955 and President of Vietnam from 1945 to 1969.
The party has been in power since 1946 within the framework of the Vietnamese Front of the Fatherland coalition. The supremacy of the Communist Party is guaranteed by Article 4 of the National Constitution of Vietnam. All presidents of the Democratic Republic and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were party members during their tenure.
The post of President and General Secretary of the party is held by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - Nguyen Phu Chong.
Since 2009, the Communist Party of Vietnam has an agreement on interaction and cooperation with the All-Russian political party "United Russia".
