PARTY OF JUSTICE AND DEVELOPMENT
Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) – the liberal democratic political party of Uzbekistan; the “party of power”. The leader of the party is Aktam Haitov. The party was founded in 2003 with the idea of protecting the interests of small businesses, entrepreneurs and farmers - the property-owning class, highly qualified production specialists and management employees, and business people. In 2004, the party won 41 out of 120 parliamentary seats, in 2009 - 53 out of 135, and in 2014 - 52 out of 150 seats. According to the results of the parliamentary elections in 2020, the party won 53 out of 150 seats. Abdulla Aripov, who has served as Prime Minister since December 2016, was again nominated for the post. UzLiDeP has a youth wing. The party concluded the cooperation agreement with United Russia.
